i think deleting games (after they have been played) sets a bad example for our board.

I have no idea what he did or what you are talking about but if this is true then I agree. Accurate record keeping is pretty important. I mean either keep an accurate record or do not keep one at all. The mods need to set examples for the rest of the posters.

What happened in this situation?

Theyre saying that Journey wiped out his plays after 1-6 day

Well I dont know if thats true or not, but Journey gave me a figure to put in the tracker standings that he says included the 1-6 so I dont see what the big deal is.

If journey wasnt having a great season, no one would have even cared. It's kind of hypocritical IMO

I don't know if he did or didn't...but if that is even an option for mods, that could be a big problem. Probably not in the best interest of this site to let mods delete their posts especially in the tracking forum.

I too think it would be a big deal regardless of whether or not someone submitted their correct record. There is no reason to delete the plays. That just leads to trouble down the road.

Again, I trust Journey and don't know what happened...I am just speaking more on general terms.

Until Journeyman or anyone else pulls a "Madcapper/Wannabe Whale" or "Alan Palmer & C-LO/Kruser6" move I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Those 2 were REAL cash scams and we're talking about a TRACKING forum error here involving no REAL CASH. No harm, no foul.

Rob, I think by this time it is clear that Journey deleted his 1-6 Saturday. With this knowledge, why would anyone believe that he has been truthful up to this point?

with this knowledge, I wonder if this has been done before??

kinda ironic that J Man is the one who wrote "the rules" for the tracker forum.

#8. There will be no editing; if something needs to be edited please ask a moderator. Post your changes in the “Please Edit Thread” with an explanation of what you need edited and why. A mod will take care of it as soon as possible.

#9. You will be required to keep an honest record with updates that will be monitored by Mods and fellow posters, anyone who is suspected of padding their record or does not follow the guidelines set forth will be asked to leave the record tracking folder. The entire moderating staff, not any single moderator, will make rulings.

Guys wake up. Watch the news, read the paper. There is some bad shit happening outside of this forum. The whole JMan fiasco is worthless to discuss. I think we all have an idea of what happened and we should keep it to ourselves because nothing good will comeout of it.

Thats pretty arrogant, Journeyman, coming from someone who has yet to offer any explanation of where or why the post in question was made to dissappear.

Hey, why not just admit you deleted them because you thought the posts shouldn't count? Admit it and move on.

classic case of trying to put someone else down so you can feel better about yourself, J Man. Sorry we all can't be "high roller's" like you, buddy.

Somebody asks you a valid question, and go into full victim mode. Then , you wanna start the "F You's" You could never "fuck me' my friend. Classy stuff coming from a Mod. :103631605

So let's see here...

At the end of baseball season the top man in the tracking forum wins NOTHING. Aside from bragging rights, what does the tracking forum really reward? I mean unless you have designs on becomming a tout and want to hype the fact you were a top dog in the tracking forum, what to you have to gain or lose from sharing your picks?

I pick my own games and always have and I do so prior to viewing the selections of others. I don't play or following anyone else's picks. I'm up a few units or so for the season and that's OK with me. I would have more cash if I followed Bucsfan but I like to pick my own games. Besides, I think it makes you a better handicapper when you pick your own games day in and day out. I check the baseball threads to see what others play and I am interested in their opinions but in reality who cares who is the top handicapper?

Posters here have ripped eachother off for real money and Journeyman committed the horrible sin of messing up a posting in a tracking forum. WOW, he must be tarred and feathered for this horrendous crime.

I don't know the details as to why this happened but feel strongly that an asset like Journeyman should be given the benefit of the doubt. He admitted that his record was 1-6. It would be different if he said he was 6-1 and thread was deleted. All this extra stuff is only wasting time from what we want to get out of this site which is to gain info to make informed decisions for or against on out bets. If you guys feel that you don't want to follow him don't. If you are a stand up person simply let it go, follow his picks closely to make sure it doesn't happen in the future, and use info accordingly. Anyways, you all should be doing your own capping anyway to use as a measuring stick vs others instead of taking picks at word like you would if you paid a tout. He doesn't have to post his plays. He is not getting paid for it. He is taking his time to share info. This is another reason we lose posters because we run them off. Gambling is not perfect science so you need to tread accordingly.

The issue isn't Journeyman having a 1-6 Saturday, or people following picks, or anything of that type.

The issue is the cheating and lieing of a moderator. It reflects very poorly on the entire site, in my opinion.
